You hard drive deciding to surprise you by not working anymore, decides to shut down on its own and not having any back-up of everything that's stored in it.
It happened to me before on my first laptop Toshi that's why when I got Niggie (I tend to name things to make it easier for me) I thought I learned but NO I DIDN'T!
I think it was less than 3 weeks ago, my Niggie was working well, or I thought it was. I used it up to 2am then went to sleep and then woke up at 5 and used it again for an hour then went to work. When I got back home, the bad news hit me like a rock. Nanghina ako teh! It won't turn on! I tried my best to stay positive, so I let it rest for the whole night. When I woke up the next day, I tried to use it again and NO it still doesn't work. I texted kuya Mac, to have it fixed. I was still fairly calm cause I was positive that I would still be able to recover my files. Niggie stayed with him for 4 days so I though he was able to fix it, or save my files but sad to say, no. When he returned it to me, he said he'll just accompany me at the repair shop. I was already losing hope. I don't really trust the repair shop so I was still contemplating on whether to bring it there or not.
2weeks passed, I was already having withdrawal symptoms. (OA?) So gave in. I went to the repair shop and there I heard the news. I need a new drive. :( I had to emote at the computer shop. (seryoso!) Then, I took a deep breath and I just said to myself.. "Maybe, I just have to move on from the past and create new memories"
Ayun. I had to buy a new drive and start from scratch. My Niggie is like brand new now. I feel a little sad cause I have nothing left from my old files but I feel lucky cause somehow, I saved 80% off my files on my multiply site (http://akiracamaru.multiply.com)
Moral of the story? Wag magmamarunong, laging magback-up ng files.
